I thought maybe I was just getting old and tired. But, it turns out
to be true that we are incredibly busy. This Monday we broke new
records, seeing 637 patients in a 24-hour period. That's insane.
Working nights makes me feel like a different person. It's like I'm
sleepwalking in the day. Some kind of ghost. Anyway, also, having
four of five hours free before work is not the same as having the
same amount of time free after work. The feeling is completely
different. I went to Crouton Cafe and drank my pot of coffee and ate
some unnamed meals. The place was empty... never seen that before.
