Still on the ground, blogging

Read Jonathon Livingston Seagull, a book I remember my father
sometimes reading to me. But, I don't think he really did, or if he
did, I doubt he ever finished it. Or, maybe he did. You know I don't
remember much. Anyway, the book is really cheesy and dated. But, the
basic idea of spiritual transcendence that the book sells is something
that I do feel at my core, no matter how much I scoff at it or study
it away. So, it must have gotten stuck in me early on, maybe from this
book, maybe many sources. How to achieve it? So many people trying in
1970 when the book was written, and so many failures through the next
decade. Where are we now in our desire to transcend? Still on the
ground, blogging.
