into the darkness of a lake called Dragon's Eye
(no one knows what dyes it so)
i take the plunge
into the giant krill-trap of fabled nemesis
(feeling small, redundant)
i take the plunge
into warm-but-inescapable molten chocolate
(treacherous is the comfortable)
i take the plunge
into the hundred backyard pools that I have known
(and especially the cold ones)
